Decision Day.
After months of dithering and delay, and breaking one of their election promises, Cllr Federica Smith-Roberts, The Liberal Democrat Leader of Somerset West & Taunton Council has finally decided to sell a part of Galmington Park.
Published ahead of the Vote tomorrow evening (8th December 2020), attached is the agenda item from Frederica, which recommends "disposal of a parcel of land at Galmington Playing Fields"
Section 2.1 lays out the recommendation to sell this land, against their promise in the 2019 local elections.
Should the recommendation be voted down by Full Council, no doubt the Lib Dems will try to hide behind the vote saying they upheld their promise. They can't squirm away from the public this time, Federica has shown her hand.
